The ghosts and goblins return to the Slieve Aughty Riding Centre in Galway for the week of the October Midterm for spooktacular family fun. Discover lots of new things with The Slieve Aughty Experience, including farm animals to pet, new toddler playground, family games and the NEW fairy forest, where the fairies, gnomes, and witches work and play beside forest creatures. Bring your guide and fairy dust and be sure to leave your worries at the worry tree.
A family event, enjoy the fresh air of autumn with a walk or pony ride* to Bloody Mary’s haunted house and dare yourself to see her in the mirror of her ruin (read the full story before you go or along the way!).
For the little one’s go on a witch’s walk (a short walk to Slieve Aughty’s enchanted wood). Along the way, count how many ghosts, witches and other Halloween creatures you see hiding in the forest and answer the Halloween riddles that help guide the way. Back at the centre, pet the animals, get a scary face paint, dress up in a silly costume, and make some Halloween arts and crafts
For children ages 5 and up, visit the Enchanted Forest or Bloody Mary’s haunted house on horseback or on foot! Their safe ponies are great with children and are around all day to be pet if you choose not to go for a ride.
