Dublin Simon Home Run is the longest running charity event in the Phoenix Park. It is a professionally organised race, registered with Athletics Association Ireland. Every participant running the five mile race will receive their own race number with embedded timing chip.
We welcome elite runners, joggers, walkers, buggy runners, students, corporate groups and anyone in fancy dress to take part.
Family & Activities
**Under 12s Go FREE
There’ll be plenty of entertainment on the day, with music, performers and amusements after the events, goody bags for all the participants, spot prizes throughout the day, medals for every child and even a fantastic group-warm up beforehand.
Family activities such as kids’ races, kids’ craft, face painting and live entertainment will be ongoing throughout the morning at the Kids Zone together with lots of tasty treats and goodies to be enjoyed at our food court.
The funds raised will be going towards promoting policies and providing services to help reduce homelessness in Ireland!
As we come into our 34th year of the Simon 5 Mile, the homeless situation is the worst we have ever seen. There is a need to not only raise essential funds but to show solidarity with the thousands of adults and children who are, as we speak, trapped in the despair of homelessness. We a need a change in direction.
To do this, we’ve changed this year’s event to the Simon Home Run. We are asking you to hit the pavement and come together, not just for fun but for Homes!
